SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Community
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency said it can be alarmed in regards to the high quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The service point produced for intervention experiences a high influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it difficult to the office to attend to all people who website visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to empower the servicing of all buyers and raise access to Social Assistance status sassa expert services,” the agency said.
